What are the benefits of a childless marriage? [I Marriage]

@SW-User Personally, I'd rather focus more on my husband and I than have kids.

@SW-User That's true. Children can be a joy. However, they have been known to strain a weak marriage to the breaking point.

@WendyLopez43 You do what's right for you. I only know that the bond between a mom and a child can be quite amazing. :) Parents learn a new part of life and many say they didn't know how much a baby could make a difference in their lives.

@4meAndyou A weak marriage can be broken by many hard times...money being a big one.

@SW-User Kids and I don't seem to get along too well anyway, they seem to think I'm a "meany Doo Doo head". My fiance's cousins called me that lol.

@SW-User And control. Some marriage partners are super controlling, and that, in itself, can break a weak marriage.

@WendyLopez43 Ha! I think people mellow out for the most part once they have a child of their own.
My daughter swore she'd never had children. Her first one is almost two and she adores him to pieces, as does her husband. I think they appreciate that child even more knowing he may be the only one they ever have.
I'd say none of us know for sure until we are in a given situation. :)

@SW-User True but I just feel I wasn't destined to be a parent, just a spouse.

@4meAndyou yep. Babies aren't the cause of marriage breakups. There is something more underneath that is already causing problems.
