Love is a many splendidly confusing thing. The trick is not to obsess over the things we all are not, and expand the lengths of time we fawn over who we actually are. Changes in people were, are, and always will be, an internal endeavor only. We never have the power to change others, despite our deepest wishes, and our wildest dreams.
In the end, the good must outweigh the bad by a wide enough margin to minimize any feelings of contempt over what we are not.

Die trying,

Quite insightful and true on many areas. My biggest issue here is how much I have learned, grown, changed and can now see with clarity what was previously veiled. I fear contempt is growing with each hurtful word. Apologies are futile.

I hear ya. That's too bad. I wish you the best of luck and some wisdom and patience over the near future.

Not force. I thought I had no choice though. To escape an abusive home. I was 17 when I met him and didnt know better

sometimes it happens in marriage. this stage comes. but for that both has to understand and sometimes to live separate for some time also works a fresh new restart of life. But ultimate thing is accept the person as it is, without modifications. because, acceptance give positive thoughts and rejection gives negative thought. if accept you will be more happy like to live together.

Meh. Your insistence on using the word "never" means you have a part in this too.

Of course I have a part in it. I am venting about a bad day full of arguments. The always and never are his words though, what he says to me so I repeated it on purpose as an exaggeration.

I can remember what that felt like... sorry you're going through it. Take care of you...

I was in a marriage like that. I know it's not easy. I'm much happier since I got devorced

Really sorry. You're not alone. Take care of yourself.
Hugs! :)
Wondering if you feel like changing a wee bit and accepting him as he is.

@Rootstoblossom: and am also sincerely sorry for if my words had hurt or / and offended you in anyway.

@Silentspectator: not at all, thank you though. Its what I get for posting a hasty angry note with no explanation. If I was being bratty I would want you to tell me
@Rootstoblossom: :) Friends are there for a purpose, dear Rtb! Just pour and feel light whenever you are around them.
