Was this a sweet thing to do or a dumb thing to do?

Tell me if you think what I did was sweet thing or a dumb thing to do.

Last night my wife wearing her pj’s, came out of the bathroom after taking her shower, and I was barefoot and she walked right into me ramming her foot into my big toe’s toenail. She said ouch wth?! I dropped to the floor and gently picked up her foot, didn’t see any injury and I kissed it & apologized.
