Why does, every relationship I've been in seem to always be one sided?

They’ll befriend you just to boost themselves up or get something out of you and once you’ve outlived your usefulness, they won’t think twice about ditching you. It’s better to just lower expectations from people. Even if they may seem genuinely interested in you.
