Who dreamed of being married for life

I got over 50 years, for which I am grateful. She is still with us. But has her own reality and she is content there...I know how lucky we have been..😷

🥺 Can't say I dreamt of it, but it definitely was part of my adulting script. But things happen, people do change. Especially when there's a outside media source of coercion involved.
The marriage lasted 11 years, probably would've ended a lot sooner if I would've seen the futility or frivolity of it all. But, I do have two amazing kids out of it..... 😊.

I think that I expected it, you know, "'til death do us part" and all that. I did my best, but it was all one sided in her favour. I lasted 33yrs before I couldn't handle it anymore and divorced.

We both promised "'til death do us part" and over 25 years later we are still happily keeping that promise!

We're pretty old now, and we're still married.

Well, I did at one point in time when I was young, but not now post my divorce finalization of 5-4-2007 that is an institution I have lost all/total faith in.

Many of us.

I think most of us did.

I accomplished that. Just under 45 years.

That's our plan. I think we will make it.

Never thought I’d get divorced when I said my vows.😬

I did. Which is a big reason why I never married.

I wanted it... until I saw my marriage for what it is.

I did at one point but, as it turned out, it would’ve been like a life sentence.

That was the plan. But then she died. So that was that.
