I wish you all the luck in the world in finding it. God knows some of us can't.

I used to watch Little a House on the a Prairie and Laura was talking about this older lady in town, how she always looked for love but never found it. She went on to describe how some people are just meant to be alone. That is me. That resonates with me.
I do understand the feeling, but I don't think anyone is meant to be anything. Circumstance combined with our own decisions just makes things turn out more or less well, and we can never know beforehand what the best course of action is. So really, circumstance and blind ignorance.
Maybe - perhaps unrealistic, but maybe - the person best suited for you lives on another continent and cannot speak English and you will never meet. That's just some people's luck.
Other people, they learn to settle. Someone who is geographically proximate and checks enough boxes while making their loins frothy. Just enough relevant criteria. And that tilts the scales, and it's good enough for them.
But I'm rambling now. I haven't slept in at least 30 hours. Ignore me.
