Would you give up on the person that you love?

If your answer is yes than do you really love them or did you lose your love for them at the same time you gave up on them?

It depends on the situation. This will probably sound awful, but in the final analysis I love myself enough that I wouldn’t stay with someone who abused me or didn’t value me. That’s not love either, IMO. It’s codependency, or martyrdom. Short of that, though, when I do love someone I love them forever.
