Why do women on dating sites not even reply in messages

I've been looking at match.com and if I find a funny profile or something that really makes me smile, I message them and say than you, it was very funny. Or I love your smile in such and such picture, then I tell them I hope they are having a very good day. It's not like I'm asking them out or being creepy or anything. Am I?

I think you might want to try a different dating site if that one isn't working out.

@Daisy47: I might try another at some point. I have an eharmony account as well but you can't chat for free.

@convertedshell: ah that stinks. My cousin met someone on big beautiful people meet skinny guy she's curvaceous not really big.She just thought people would be more genuine on there.

@Daisy47: Yeah, you kind of hope people would be more genuine on those sites because of what they are, but you just have to search and hope. I'll not give up on finding that certain someone somewhere that can be my best friend and companion. :)

@convertedshell: I hope that for you too. Sorry you are having trouble. You seem genuine. My suggestion would be to try a different approach.maybe talking about yourself first.introducing yourself tell them what you do and what you are looking for in a relationship and then later give the compliments about their profile or certain look they have.

@Daisy47: Thank you. The ones I was talking about though weren't ones I was trying to meet with or anything. I was just commenting on their profiles because of something I thought was funny or intriguing. The women looking for guys just a little older than me seem to be the ones that actually respond. Maybe I was just born a little too late and need to wait a few more years.
I appreciate the genuine comment. I try to be, but it's just hard to get them to see that much if they don't actually reply to chat a little bit. Oh well, someone will one day. I have faith.

@convertedshell: maybe try a little younger age bracket I don't know.
convertedshell · 46-50, M
@Daisy47: Well, I'm already looking around from about 30 to 42. I wouldn't want to go younger because of emotional and life experience. It's just harder to find someone in a lower age bracket that would really be looking for what I am I think. I appreciate you trying to help, Daisy. I like coming here though because of all the points of view and the good chat. :)

@Daisy47: Like I just found a 26 year old that is only looking for someone that makes 50k or more a year from what she selected. I'm not saying that's bad of her, but I don't understand how the amount of money you make has anything to do with the compatibility of one persons personality with your own.
