16 years old dating a 24 year old?

I am much older now..kinda 18, but a while ago when I was 16, I had dated a guy that was 24...Now it was all sweet and the relationship did last about a year. In the time we were dating, we recieved MANY rude comments. I would like to ask what everybody's opinion is on this. Is Age really a number???

My last relationship was with a chick 11 years younger than me and while age is just a number in my case I learned it is really hard to maintain a relationship like that cuz you are at 2 very different stages in life

Very true you could say which was one of the difficulties we had to overcome. I have dated a 21 year old before which we had no problems. Age is just a number, but what can affect that is th stages where each individual is in their life.

Precisely she was still in the partying and hanging out with her buddies stage and I was more in the stay home and settling down mode we tried for 4 years but overall we just could not make it work

@Michaela: It happens but I've learned a lot from it that said i am still attracted more to younger women not that young again but younger none the less
@Greenbare: Isn't it more like 19-30 for the girl?

@Greenbare: Accept that the hips are not fully grown until about 18 making childbirth riskier. Unless I am misinformed. I don't believe you last sentence is true at all.

@MarsSword: genes can definitely affect the growth of your hips! Along with puberty! Some can start puberty at a young age therefor are typically developed at the age of 14-17! Some can start later which which prolonged the time they become fully developed! Race also does play a factor! Hispanics and African Americans maybe middle easterns, the hips would be developed way faster than Caucasians and Asians! I don't truly believe at 18 you are fully developed since every woman is different! They may be fully developed maybe earlier than 18 or later!
