@Serenitree: he is low energy level person, his biggest interest in life is sitting in his chair watching tv, he's 48 and not working for a year and is not looking for a job. I work, have kids, parents. Sometimes i thorn apart to work things out, and he's just sitting in his chair..

@AmataBene: so, a nice guy, maybe, but not so good for the long haul. It's too bad. But you made the right choice. It sounds like he's either in a rut with his life, or maybe in a depression, or he doesn't really care about life in general.

What is his source of income?

@AmataBene: I'm sorry. Depression is such a hard battle to fight. It takes energy and when you're depressed, energy is in very short supply.

@AmataBene: Get over it. You can't fix what's wrong, only he can do that, and first he has to want to fix it badly enough to seek the help he needs to fight it.
You said you have kids and parents. They need to be your priorities. He can only tear you down.
