ALL of the words will be painful. There is no way to break up with someone that doesn't hurt.

And break up with him the way you would want someone to break up with you. Be honest and be kind.

Me & my gf just broke up on Super Bowl Sunday ... We had a blowup but we remain friends & in communication.... I know had she said out her mouth "I don't want to be with you" or "it's not you it's me" or even "I think we should be friends" that would have broken me but fuck it, if he's mature enough he would rather that you break up with him instead of him being with someone that doesn't feel the same no matter how much it hurts..... best of luck to both of you
