I think a lot of us are stuck almost living a "2nd" life because we're trapped.
We're trapped because of our anxiety. We are trapped because we can't figure out a way to socialize with our spouse. We're trapped because our spouse never wants to socialize. We're trapped because maybe outside isn't safe enough.
If you have the capability to socialize outside of the internet... take your chances. You're going to get just as hurt online and none of these friendships really go anywhere.
