Why can't I forget about my ex?

I believe this is true. I also believe in this incarnation I'm to tie loose ends with ppl from other lives that I encountered. Maybe I should try and contact her??

You know. I dated a guy for 6 years - we got engaged - we broke up (mutually -nothing bad happened except for the fact that we grew a part). Four years later I started feeling very much like you. I pondered it and pondered it. I decided F it. I'm calling him. We had a very business like phone call - I won't lie, it was wierd. Not bad - just wierd - like we were strangers. I apologized to him for hurting him (if I did) and told him that I wished him well. I actually said -- Life can be difficult sometimes. Please know that if you ever have any struggles in life I will always be rooting for your success. -- Then we hung up.

It has been years since that phone call and I have never regretted it. In life we regret the horrible things we say -- we never regret being kind and honest.

I will also say that everyone told me not to call. Many people perceived that gesture as weak. -- Being hateful is easy. Being kind to someone and having no exectations is an act of bravery. It's one of the best things I ever did.

I had my heart broken when I was 18, he ended it, came back 9 months later, I was seeing someone else and said no, always think of him now and again, he did contact me again 10 years later after that again, I was then married, not meant to be. I still think how he's doing, it's been 27 years, wrong timings... @JovialPlutonian:

@JovialPlutonian: Honestly, I have never stopped loving people. I hope I never do. I don't understand why people think that love needs to be always reciprocated? Love is a gift we give ourselves.
