I can honestly say that trying to date on a platform like this is a bad idea. I dated one guy I met here and although we had a year long relationship it went tits up because well I don't think he really wanted to be with me.

I had been offered by someone I considered to be a friend money to help me out in a difficult situation and I told them I didn't want to take it but they reassured me that I could pay it back over time.
Shortly after receiving the money the messages came in thick and fast, the dynamics of the friendship changed.
I suddenly became their pawn.
I complained to them and tried to get them to see what they were doing.
But he started trying to slander my name, that I used him.

I bet he didn't post that I paid him back in full!

These all happened some years ago like maybe 4/5 years back before lockdown.

Never again.

Lessons have been learned.

I'm a 55 year old gay man - and I've had to block a couple of guys that do the same thing in my "world," so... it's so terrible that it's women that get hit with this line of 💩, but it's not exclusive to you. We ALL need to be cautious.

I wouldn’t send anyone money. I don’t trust easy I guess. I always wonder how anyone can fall for that but so many do.

It really is horrible, I've been scammed before never thinking I'd be one of those people. When someone emotionally manipulates you in a vulnerable place it just takes the wrong combination of circumstances to happen 😔 I lost a lot of money (for me at the time).

We're only human and it's not our fault for trusting others, sometimes people do bad things.

I have reported so many fake accounts on s.W.

I have not got one DM from one woman or him saying I'm wrong about this. So, there you go....

I blocked him a long time ago. I dont remember why but he made me uncomfortable.

I haven't seen him around lately but maybe I'm blocked 🤷🏼‍♂

Either way, I wish more would be called out for this BS

It's weird because he has a lot of posts, he doens't have a hunky picture of himself on his profile, he intereacts in a lot of discussions here, and none of his posts are romantic. Not your typical scammer.

You're basing this on what exactly. If you are going to call out someone thats been around here for years back it up with something. I'm not buying it and tbh your profile looks much more like a fake than his does.

There are some "females" tryna do the same thing .. people being all "peopley". Smh.
