How do you signal your partner when you want sex? And feel offended when turned down?

I think both genders are different. Men are always vocal and or direct but most women are indirect and rarely initiate or advance is that true? And i think the reason they dont is the fear of rejection, is that true?

@Fieldmaster Yes. Some women use sex and/ or withholding of it, to manipulate and control. There are studies on the impact on relationships and everything.
