why is dating out of your league so stressful?

i compare it to being a museum curator in a city known for art theft. you never truly get to appreciate the situation you're in because you're constantly aware that at any moment you could turn your back and be left with nothing lol

I've never been big fan of that "league" belief in dating. Seems to me, if you start out believing there is a sliding scale for who is above whom then things are pretty much doomed to fail. If two people cannot swallow their pride and admit that they are more alike than what society dictates then move along before anyone gets hurt...because someone will get hurt.
