Generally speaking, break your decision into black and white. Remove the gray.
With only two options remaining, take the high road assuming that decision does not cause you unnecessary harm or duress.
Do not absorb the problems of others. Those are theirs to solve. Avoid decisions made from a position primarily because of empathy.
