How can I work up a confidence to ask my coworker out?

I haven’t asked out a coworker before and I heard dating a coworker. is a bad idea. So I have a crush on my coworker and it’s been a couple of months. He is sweet, caring, funny, makes people laugh and doesn’t take shit from anyone. He’s 24, so cute and so good-looking I’m not going to lie. He loves kids and I feel good when he’s around. I wanna ask him out on a date. So on Monday when I go to work, what’s the best way to ask? I don’t wanna ruin thinks and make it awkward with him.

Ahhh been there worn the T Shirt etc.
Theres a difference with "working with someone" and just working with someone.
If the person works at the same place, but the other side of the building, then its ok,if they work within 10 yards of you,it gets awkward...if you have a row, then they are there next day.
If you have sex with them,or you decide you dont want to see them again, its REALLY awkward.
Think on it.But hey,why not have a date and just enjoy.
Ease into it. Start a conversation about something and then move to what you want to ask. For instance........ "Hi, I'm TallBigUglyGirl. Do you like peanut butter. Let's fuck."
It would be interesting to know how many relationships even long term or lasting relationships have a beginning with a coworker.

@butterqueen Me someone for years, but they left after a few months so it removed that awkwardness..I used to work with married couples that worked together. That must have driven them nuts.

Act like he’s just a coworker and see if he wants to hang out without making it sound like a date.
Just be friendly, smile, join in with conversations, but be yourself.

I did in fact overtime sleep with two,and actually "sleep" with one of them.
