@onewithshoesBetween the 15-17th centuries,it was accepted doctrine that if a Witch was barefoot,it would seriously diminish her powers;if one was barefoot while standing on a consecrated area,it would remove her powers completely. Accordingly,women accused of witchcraft were kept in bare feet at all times.
