I think people have “their person” at different points of life.
ReneeT · 61-69, M
@Keepitsimple I definitely agree
brian29715 · 46-50, M
@Keepitsimple best answer.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@brian29715 Thank you!!
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
No. Only those who have souls have soulmates. ;)
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
@Fluffybull takes bows 🙇🏻‍♂️
FoolishLuna · 56-60, F
@Ambroseguy80 good point . I have a soul 🤣
empanadas · 31-35, M
@Ambroseguy80 damn make sense
butterfly1013 · 26-30, F
Yes, but the important thing to remember is that soulmates are not always in the form of romance. Soulmates can be your friends, family members and even pets. We also have multiple soulmates, not just one. A soulmate in short is just a person or thing that you connect with on a higher level than anything else.
I think it's too strong a word. I would never use it to describe a relationship. @butterfly1013
butterfly1013 · 26-30, F
@Spoiledbrat I do believe in soulmates, but it's one of the words that people just use just because everyone else does. It's a label that people think is suposed to be fairytale. Another thing is that a soulmate is not always in your life. Some do come and go or meant to be in your life in the spiritual sense at some point. A soulmate can even be someone you don't know.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@butterfly1013 I agree fully.
Dusty101 · F
A lot of people do.. And it's great for them,
Others, like myself are not designed to have soulmates and I'm really OK about that. It doesn't phase me!
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
I posted a question a long time ago, for married people only, asking if they considered their spouse to be their soulmate. Fewer than half said yes.

I don’t believe in a single soulmate. I believe their are many people in the world with whom we could be happy—and that perhaps it even changes over time.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@Harmonium1923 I absolutely agree with this for so many reasons especially after being married for almost 30 years.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@Harmonium1923 I completely agree.
Poppies · 61-69, F
@Harmonium1923 you got it right
Jill1990 · 31-35, F
I think there is an acceptable matchup for most people - maybe many, but I don’t think they find each other very often.
SW-User
I don't think soul mates or twin flames make sense. We will never meet everyone on the planet, so what are your chances of even finding them?
I don't think, if there is such a thing, that they're always lovers or a romantic thing.
Fluffybull · F
@SW-User Yes, having a friend who is a soulmate could be as good as having a romantic connection. The important thing is to be understood.

When you're a mature, unselfish person with values that can be depended on... you are likely to form relationships that feel like a soul mate.

When you're a self-centred, untrustworthy person, a user, who in the end only cares about yourself... nah. You might be lucky and meet a person with co-dependency issues.
BlueVeins · 22-25
everyone but meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
I thought I have a soul mate and my soul was taken 😂😂😂.
So on the subject of a soul mate I don't believe in it .
It's another form of dependency
SW-User
Nope. Always sounds like some fantastical fantasy. Kinda sets us up for failure too
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User False.
'Soul Mates' is an overused Hippy tree hugger term.
Hey Hippies, I am still waiting for this 'free love' you all promised back in the 60's and how you all where freeing us from the oppressing capitalism establishment and stick it up 'The Man'
Larksky · M
@Robynthebeautiful don't forget freedom to be who you want to be without any hindrance
@Robynthebeautiful “Free love” ? The bill arrived circa 1980 in the form of HIV, herpes and Hep C. 😳
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
The general belief of soulmates are that they are romantic partners. Actually soulmates are those that give you unconditional love and help you to grow and evolve. It need not necessarily be romantic.

In that context, yes I do believe everyone has soulmates. More than one..
Lostpoet · M
Yes, and sadly, i think i missed mine.
crimsoncloves · 31-35, F
I’m not sure whether or not I believe in souls. It’s a nice idea. But I do think that there’s bound to be someone out there exactly on your wavelength. The probability is high considering how high the world population is.
marsbar · F
Nah, I don’t believe in that romantic stuff anymore.
marsbar · F
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays I still have my romantic side, but I’m more of a realist now.
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
Leaving my heart in shattered tiny pieces.... Lol @marsbar
marsbar · F
@braveheart21 Awww 😅😊
Fluffybull · F
I'd like to think so. But not everyone may find their soulmate. What if the soulmate lived on the other side of the world?
scorpiolovedeep · 46-50, M
Not everyone …

It takes two people time , space and energy to whole heartedly invest in a healthy relationship ….on a consistent level.
FoolishLuna · 56-60, F
Yes actually I think they can have several … a soul mate leads you to true happiness.
I don't know but I don't think everyone finds them if they do.
SW-User
Yeah but doesn't mean you get to be with them.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
Yes, I do believe strongly in it. 💎
Lostpoet · M
Yes, but not everyone one finds them.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
Two even 😶
StarLily · 51-55, F
Several, yes.
Larksky · M
What is a soul mate? We always look for that one person who will be more to us then anyone but can that be possible?
You find what you are looking for only if you know what your looking for
Lostpoet · M
@SW-User Have you ever read What Dreams May Come? I think he got things pretty close.
Everyone has many soulmates...but only one twinflame.

Which is why meeting the latter is a rare blessing.
SW-User
I don't believe in the existence of soul mates, if by that you mean Fate, Destiny and all that.
NickiHijab · F
I don't see soul mates as just one or just romantic in nature. I believe there's several.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I don't think so that doesn't mean you can't have a great relationship with someone
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Nope. I think the idea of soulmates is crap - a myth - and a cruel joke on the human race.
ABCDEF7 · M
Technically No.

Body can have a mate, a soul don't have a body.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
I thought I did. But sadly I don't think someone exists for me anymore.
leeloh · F
Nope. Compatibility is much more important
TexChik · F
yep a few for everyone. Finding them is the hard part.
Sirmunchabunch · 31-35, M
Probably I still haven't found mine
Sunnykel76 · 46-50, F
No, I don't believe in that.
SW-User

texasdaddydom · 51-55, M
No i killed mine
Degbeme · 70-79, M
