I don't think soul mates or twin flames make sense. We will never meet everyone on the planet, so what are your chances of even finding them?
I don't think, if there is such a thing, that they're always lovers or a romantic thing.

@SW-User Yes, having a friend who is a soulmate could be as good as having a romantic connection. The important thing is to be understood.
