MEN- if a woman sent you this apology, what would you think about it?

So just some background: This guy has been pursuing me and I thought he was just playing around so I told him he's not the right guy for me because I felt like it's just too good to be true that things were going so well between us. I thought there's no way that is possible. But then it turned out that he was actually very serious about us and not playing around. I went back and he told me that it doesn't matter anymore because I told him he's not the guy I'm looking for.

After giving it some thought, I decided to reach out to him and send him this apology:

I started by saying "Hiii :) Kyla has been asking me about you." -Kyla is my dog by the way- i mentioned her because he really wanted to meet her.
Then I continued and said

"I think about you everyday. So I really just wanted to say: I had my guard up because I thought our connection was too good to be true, and I was scared and ran. But I realized how dumb I was to second guess myself. And I didn't fully understand how my empty words and running could hurt you too. But I realized that the connection I feel with you even now is worth putting my walls down for. I want to let my guard down and run to you now. And I would appreciate if you allowed me a chance to fix my mistake. I promise I won't run again, unless you want me to."

He hasn't seen my message and it says he has not been online since I sent it.

I am very sincere and genuine in my apology and I'm hoping he'll turn around and give us a shot. I wanted to know from a man's perspective, how you would take that apology. He is 34 and I'm 28.

Thanks.

I don't understand how you communicate with your dog. Lol.. Sorry..

Looks genuine but too much excited. Just your words, "unless you want me to" makes me think you don't yet have faith on him.
