Is your partner's ability to calm you an important factor?

In times of difficulty and uncertainty, do you seek reassurance from your significant other or self-soothe?

I try to, but he lets me rant and rave until I get it out of my system. I am bipolar. He kinda just let's me be when I have a moment.
@SW-User That’s a wonderful thing. 😊

i depend heavily on my boyfriend emotionally, and given my mental instability for the moment at least i really need him to be able to calm me and make me okay which he always does
No I’ve always self-soothed. Someone telling me to calm down and not let my emotions go full cycle makes it worse

Nope! What is a significant other? Been single 13 plus years, so I guess it all falls on me to care for me.

I used to but not for years now.

Mine knows how to keep me calm.
