Is being infatuated with your significant other a bad thing ?

Northwest · M
Infatuation is typically defined as short-term. A very intense, but short-lived fire. Some people can make it last a lifetime. That's nice.

As long as infatuation does not lead to obsessiveness/control, there's nothing wrong with it.

@antisocialbutterfly It's all about what end up doing with it. Infatuation, to the point where you have no life of your own, and your entire focus is on the other person, is really bad. If it's an intense love/feelings for the other person, then there's nothing wrong with it. The boiling rabbit on the stove is when infatuation crosses a line.

Nope he definitely had a life outside of our relationship still does @Northwest

@antisocialbutterfly If it's a mutual, then it should be OK. If it feels like it's too much for one person, time to re-evaluate. People should be aware when it crosses from passionate to creepy.

Of course not. I’m fucking obsessed with mine! 😆
Nah its cute (unless they are crazy)
@BlueVeins 😯
@antisocialbutterfly is he having personal problem or is he secretly wanting to break up?
antisocialbutterfly · 22-25, F
No clue I think I’m just around still because he hopes to get in my pants before he leaves @SStarfish

I think that would be the best thing....as long as you loved them too.

Omg nooo! It's sweet, imo.
It probably depends on the person. Some people love the excitement and attention from infatuation. Other people don't like the pressure and feel uncomfortable when a relationship starts to take too much away from their normal routine.

It can be if you don't allow them some time to be independent

If it's just a feeling, no worries

My boyfriend thinks it’s bad @BeefySenpie
@antisocialbutterfly Did he explain why he thinks that?

With no explanation no one wants to hear that...
antisocialbutterfly · 22-25, F
He just said it wasn’t healthy - but hey this relationship gets more depressing by the day@BeefySenpie

Only if it interferes with keeping your own life in order.
