Why does he have to make me fall for him when all he wanted was friendship?

He showed me he cared. He always share food and other stuff with me. Made me laugh when I'm sad or bored. He made me feel like I'm special in more ways than one but in the end he told me that I'm only his bestfriend.

I am inclined to believe he did it on purpose. Men can be fools. They think they can have the cake but keep it at a distance. Leasing you on by a thread . Just in case.... you are better off without him to be honest.

A good friend would be up front about this in the first place..not after.
