Why does he have to make me fall for him when all he wanted was friendship?

He showed me he cared. He always share food and other stuff with me. Made me laugh when I'm sad or bored. He made me feel like I'm special in more ways than one but in the end he told me that I'm only his bestfriend.

If I could choose, I'd make everyone fall in love with me. Deep down I think everyone would if they could, it's just human nature to want to be loved.
