In most cases the mother is the victim and usually has no independent income.
In most cases, if she doesn't manage to get a restraining order dou to seen proven physical violence, the perpetrator will even bribe and shower the children with gifts to draw tjem away from their mother.
Sometimes even leaving doesn't stop tje harassment and torture - it can endure for years after separation!

@OogieBoogie Not the nut across the valley, she went all stabby stabby, knifed her kids, went after her husband and tried to kill herself. But I think she survived. Chicks go bananas often and kill their kids.
