How do I stop emotional eating?

Because a boyfriend who isn’t interested in me combined with a family that loves junk food is not good for my waistline .....yikes

In addition to what most of the other respondents said, I'm thinking the most effective tactic would be to make sure you have at least one healthy food on hand at all times and force yourself to snack on that when you feel like binging on Oreos or whatever.

And of course, it's always wise to keep an objective measure of whether or not you're at a healthy weight, such as the following:

It's common for people, especially women, to get a skewed vision of their bodies and end up getting too thin for their own good. Not saying that's what's happening because I've never seen you. But it's a good precautionary measure for everyone to take, and it's pretty quick, too.

Fill the void and or find another outlet. I know that’s not always easy. Some people don’t have the luxury.
Surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself.
