No it cant. Microwaves are pretty much just heat waves. They heat food or anyhting moist with friction. It cant cause cancer. It is not the same radiation as like uranuim or things like that. When you heat food with a micro just dont put plastics use just glass. And everything should be ok. Some people get rid of microwaves for fear of cancer those are the type of people who dont do thier own research aha
