Personally I think if you ask her on a fun date then have a fun date. Arrange to meet to talk about something bothering you if something is bothering you and you want to talk to her about it.
That way she knows you can have fun even though you also have problems. And also shows you don't hide the problems but create boundaries and times when you talk or think about them.

I can't understand someone leaving a relationship because the other was taking antidepressants. That's a person not worth being with.
@quitwhendone I didn't even take them, I was just urged to accept them and expected to take them eventually. I forgot to throw them away, and she saw them on my desk when she came over.
