My ex wants to meet my fiancé “for our daughter’s safety.” Should I allow this?

He’s been upset about this relationship ever since I started dating. I don’t know how to get him to stop. My fiancé is a good guy and there’s nothing that my ex-husband would see in him that I haven’t already.

Your daughter is as much his as she is yours and it's only natural that he expresses concern for her safety with another man coming on the scene. If for no other reason that to give himself peace of mind.

I certainly know that if I had a daughter that someone else was going to be a potential surrogate father to I'd want to make sure they were above board.

No matter the problems that arose between the two of you she will always be his daughter.
