Why are some old people bitter about love?
I say I miss my ex. I get some old guy telling me how lucky I am that I didn’t marry her... then rants about his wife.

The older you get the more you observe. The particular person you speak of was likely hurt. Love hurts no matter the age, but when you spent a majority of your life with said person it hurts 1000% times more. You begin to question a lot of things.
