@bijouxbroussard I have a similar reaction to German accents. As David Sedaris said, it always sounds scary, even from a waiter. As if they’re saying “Here is your dessert, now go lie down in the ditch next to the little girl”.

Yes. And I remember as a child being told, “Nigras aren’t allowed here.”
That was their “polite” form of the “n” word. Whenever I hear Alabama and Mississippi accents in particular, I flashback.

@bijouxbroussard I read an interview recently with Samuel L. Jackson who said something very similar, referring to listening to Jeff Sessions and Mitch McConnell.
