"It's ok, it's their choice. But they can't expect me to be there for them any time in the future".
I spent years longing for people that left me until I accepted it. It hurts like hell but life goes on and since someone who I loved and dedicated a lot of my time and attention to left, maybe it's time to meet new people or get a new hobby. It might not be the best thing to do, but life is to short to waste it by longing for people that clearly made their decision.

@Danny54268 I thought I couldn't live without someone, and for some time it felt like I really couldn't move on but then I noticed something: the world didn't collapse. My friends and family continued with their lives and even tried to help me continue mine, I still had responsibilities, I still had to work... he moved on and one thing I was certain is he didn't want me in his life. I had to force myself to work and keep on going while I had severe depression and after a couple of months I realised we are all still living our lives, just separately. You can't force someone to love you but you can find peace if you seek it and learn that you can only give love to the rest of the world and one day it'll all get back to you.
