I go barefoot on the beach in the cold north oe England all year long. i go in the water and walk along the beach even when its cold. its so healthy for your feet and it feels free and easy. yes i get queer looks. but who cares? they are the uptight unhinbited ones not me
Its normal to be barefoot on the beach.

Update:
The date happened today. We didn't walk along the beach because the waves were crazy. We walked through the park instead and then stopped for a drink and food in a nearby pub.
I didn't get as anxious as I thought I would while we were walking and chatting. Maybe because we were moving, there was stuff to look at etc. But once we sat down at a table that's when the panic set in. Luckily it's less obvious to kick your shoes off under the table!

@Psychologykate Being barefoot put you at ease though?
Psychologykate · 41-45, F
@GkB01 it did 😊
GkB01 · 51-55, M
@Psychologykate So long as you don't get cold feet literally lol😀

I'm sure it would be better for you to go to the date barefoot. Don't wear shoes, if your feelings are against it.

It's just fine,I went on my first date with my boyfriend with my feet bare and wearing shorts, you should do what makes you most comfortable.
BarefootedBoy · 56-60, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde I dated someone several years ago, and I was barefoot on our first date. Wore a t-shirt and jeans. She thought it was "cool, and sexy."
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@BarefootedBoy It is cool being barefooted, carefree and a little daring.I leave my feet bare a lot.
BarefootedBoy · 56-60, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde She took off her shoes and socks, too, which made it even better for me.

its a bit weird yeah, but also a bit quirky, end of the day if the guy enjoys your company and is into you thats the main thing - whether or not you've got shoes on wont change that, and if it does he aint the fella for you
Actually, I've alway's found wading in the surf in cooler weather the water seems warmer. On hot days the water much cooler. I would take a chance as that is one hell of a romantic way to start bonding.
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
No. It's perfectly fine. I'm trying to find a girl that not only enjoys barefooting but won't mind seeing or being with me while I'm barefoot in public. Who knows, maybe he'll also take his shoes and socks off and join you in a nice barefoot walk. 😉😊
Psychologykate · 41-45, F
@Barefooter25 Well it didn't put him off when I took my shoes off in the pub and now that he's seen me have a seizure and that didn't scare him away. I think I might be okay.

That is not weird to me. On any date, I prefer to be comfy as myself, not how I think I should be. I would also like and expect any companion to be likewise.
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
I’d be okay with it... especially if you offered to walk on my back!! God knows I need it. 😂
CM440 · 56-60, C
Nothing wrong with taking you shoes off on the beach even in the fall. In my case, it takes more of an event for me to put shoes on rather than take them off.
BarefootedBoy · 56-60, M
I understand where you're coming from. And hey, if a woman is with me and wants to be barefoot, I'll be all for it, because chances are I'll be barefoot, too.
