First date - being barefoot?

I haven't dated in a while but I recently met someone and were going out for a casual lunch date later this week near the waterfront. We'll either go for a walk in the nearby park or along the beach followed by a spot of lunch in a cafe or pub.

Thing is, I'm going to be super nervous. As in, anxiety level nervous and one of the ways I deal with that is through grounding myself by walking barefoot. My natural instinct (especially if we end up on the beach) is going to be to take my shoes off even though it's October. I don't want to scare him off by acting weird but I also know that if I'm anxious, I'm going to be acting far weirder!

So, is it weird if during a first date, a girl takes her shoes off and walks in her bare feet? Bearing in mind it's Autumn in the UK.

Update:
The date happened today. We didn't walk along the beach because the waves were crazy. We walked through the park instead and then stopped for a drink and food in a nearby pub.
I didn't get as anxious as I thought I would while we were walking and chatting. Maybe because we were moving, there was stuff to look at etc. But once we sat down at a table that's when the panic set in. Luckily it's less obvious to kick your shoes off under the table!
