Is it wrong?

Lately I have just been thinking is it okay to give people as much as they give you? Like I have always given more and been more concerned and no one seems to do the same, its starting to irritate me so I think in order to protect myself I will only give what I get, or this being bitter?

I have a friend who treats friendship, at times, like a balancing scale. He can only accept kindness from me, or even tiny favors, if he brings gifts to the house...even if the gift is food he has gotten for free.

It used to be very wearing, and I began to call him MAF...(my annoying friend). Now I just wish he could live longer and annoy the hell out of me.

I guess my point is that if you wish to have friends, have them in spite of their flaws.
