I lack faith in love

Me too. But who needs love? It's fine. You don't have to love people or be loved by people to have a decent life. You can get what you need, affection, companionship, sex, etc. Doesn't matter if it's some bigger-than-life thing, to me. The romanticism is what disillusions people, sets expectations too high, which will lead to disappointment, imo. It's much more freeing, imo, to not believe in love and just appreciate what you do have. And take the steps--and work--necessary to fulfill your base needs.

It needs building up slowly ,action by action.deed by deed.

Love too is like a game or art like music or painting etc. One has to learn and master .. one who has no faith in music, will never ger to be a musician..
