Question for men? Story time

Last night I was at a bar dancing with a guy and it was fine than I asked him for his age out of curiosity and than he asked me for mine. Fast forward he was 23 and I am 30, haha after this happened he wanted to stop dancing with me lol. I mean I think I look great and maybe even younger I have been told many times but what the heck haha why are men so afraid of numbers? I don't get it.

SO how does the reaction of this one particular guy get applied across the board to guys in general? Has something like this happened to you before?

@JaneCas I spent a night with a 32 year old woman when I was 24. It was a good night! I was aware she was older than me, but it didn't 'scare me off' or cause any difference in how I thought of her. I think you just found a guy with a slight personality issue.
