Seems like you are just carrying around dead weight, holding yourself back. Cut the loose ends and move on and make a better future for yourself.
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
Thanks @Infamous

I agree with "Infamous" there. Men like that are a dime a dozen but there are some real jewels out there also. I don't see any future for you with this guy.
abe182 · 46-50, M
I think my head hurts from reading that.
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
I would probably have to leave him alone @abe182
abe182 · 46-50, M
@MrsCurious do you think he would leave if you wanted him to?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
It’s hard because every time he leaves he always find a way of coming back and I end up letting him thinking he will change and don’t @abe182
maturedragon · 26-30, M
so.... he would rather save the car than the relationship?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
That’s my opinion @maturedragon
maturedragon · 26-30, M
@MrsCurious leave him, he does not deserve you

You all should have negotiated before this point. Some folks don't understand-- pooling resources means sharing the burden of the costs of living equally to lighten the load for all, and is not a bill pay service.
GwydionFrost · 56-60, M
@MrsCurious if you cohabitate, you should be taking total cost of the month, and that's what you budget for-- your equal share. Not just the bills, the chores, too. Pull your own weight. If each side is trying to make the other's life easier... imagine what you could do then?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
I do everything so I might as well be alone I do all the cooking he does all the eating. I do all the cleaning he do all the messing it up along with my two other kids. He might clean up every now and then and that’s because it’s beneficial to him @GwydionFrost
GwydionFrost · 56-60, M
@MrsCurious You know, maybe you should show him the door. Tell him when he does what you do to take care of yourself without it being at other people's expense, come back and show you. Maybe then you can talk. He doesn't change because you need him to prove it FIRST, not promise it. Walk the walk.

You got this. Let him get it, too. It's an important thing to know in the world.

I think it's fine to live seperate lives but you should have a conversation with him about him pulling his own weight and contributing fairly. You're not his mother after all.
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
I’ve had this conversation before but I’m starting to think he doesn’t get it or care at all. He’s always online shopping for car parts instead of doing what he supposed to do at home first and I’m stuck paying all the bills which is fine @Ryannnnnn
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
It sounds like he truly loves you and puts you ahead of everything else. What are you complaining about?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
I guess I feel he’s not supporting my dreams and I support his then he’s drunk and all over the place @MarkPaul
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MrsCurious Well, you do have a point there.

You know he's selfish, do you wish to keep enabling it?
He's not being good to you.
Do you think you deserve that?
My guess is you don't.
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
I don’t deserve it either and I hate to seem like I need someone when I don’t I slept peacefully last night but I woke up missing him @SW-User
