Should I leave my boyfriend?

So I had been planning for a catering event and spent a lot of money to go out out of town to cater to a event. My boyfriend was suppose to contact the people who was coordinating the event to see if we can go setup. The day of the event he say oh we can’t go we won’t be able to make it. But maybe I’m overthinking it all but quote me if I’m wrong he has $400 saved didn’t wanna get the tow hitch and pay for gas. So then I’m like okay that’s fine and I was like let’s xater to people here in town I get the impression he doesn’t want to so my vibe is kilt so then I no longer want to do anything. So then later he comes home drunk and have other things to do collecting money from other people and a car job. I put him out because I feel he’s being selfish he doesn’t provide food for the house he doesn’t pay rent I do all the bigger bills I pay rent and pay for the washer and dryer and he pays the 100 dollar phone bill and the 20 dollar WiFi . What are your thoughts and what should I do? Is he using me for a place to atay because all he’s trying to do is save to fix his raggedy car and acting broke like he can’t buy a $30 meal for me and the family .... I hate to overthink and be wrong .... but what are your thoughts ?

You all should have negotiated before this point. Some folks don't understand-- pooling resources means sharing the burden of the costs of living equally to lighten the load for all, and is not a bill pay service.

And I’m the one paying all the housing cost he only pay the phone bill and WiFi because it’s beneficial to him @GwydionFrost

@MrsCurious if you cohabitate, you should be taking total cost of the month, and that's what you budget for-- your equal share. Not just the bills, the chores, too. Pull your own weight. If each side is trying to make the other's life easier... imagine what you could do then?

I do everything so I might as well be alone I do all the cooking he does all the eating. I do all the cleaning he do all the messing it up along with my two other kids. He might clean up every now and then and that’s because it’s beneficial to him @GwydionFrost

@MrsCurious You know, maybe you should show him the door. Tell him when he does what you do to take care of yourself without it being at other people's expense, come back and show you. Maybe then you can talk. He doesn't change because you need him to prove it FIRST, not promise it. Walk the walk.

You got this. Let him get it, too. It's an important thing to know in the world.
