What’s the best way of getting over a person?

I’m planning on being celibate for the next 5 years of my life. At this moment I’m recovering from a heart break. So I just wanted to know, what is the best way of moving on and getting over a guy who played you? I didn’t block him, because he isn’t gonna message me or try to apologize to me. So I’ve just sort of fallen back and now I’m silent and in my own world.

well realize it’s not the end of the world and this happens all the time to people. my last break up took so long to get over that i had to force myself to commit to other people because it wasn’t reasonable or fair to just stand still for almost a decade. Personally i don’t recommend celibacy for 5 years for various reasons. Take the time you need then get back out there and start loving and living again.

Not really sure. But a girl did the same to me and we were talking and stuff for 3 years. She eventually blocked me and then unblocked me and just never replies to me at all. I wanna know what to do because she isn't gonna message me back :'( .

I think cut all contact is a good first, especially social media or you'll just make the process harder and drag it out. Serious about that one, pull the plug.

Move towards your goals, better yourself for yourself, be it physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, education-wise.
Keep the momentum of your life moving and experience new things, focus on yourself and life, and effectively put the past behind you into a present that's so full of new things that you're not even thinking about the past.

Yeah that’s what I’m doing. I’ve already made my list an blueprint. Now I’m working towards it. I didn’t block him. But I just deleted his number and I know I won’t have to worry about getting any calls or texts from him because he doesn’t care like that. So yeah. It should be easy@Ryannnnnn

That's horrible yet happens to so many of us, especially online. Celibacy is not the answer because you're young, fun and gorgeous. The answer is that "time heals all wounds" as the old saying goes. 6 months from now, you will have forgotten all the pain and moved on with your life. 🙂

Grow some armor...it most likely won't be the last time your heart gets broken. Why would you be celibate for the next 5 years? I don't get the connection. Don't jump into a new relationship right away but 5 years is outrageous.It hurts for a while then it heals and passes.

@ROSEFUMES If you really don't want to get involved with someone, why go to the club? If you want to move on, not have any love affairs for a while, you need a change of scene and some new activities. Take up a new interest or hobby. Learn a new language. Buy a metal detector and join a metal detection club. Volunteer to build houses with Habitat for Humanity. Learn to ride a unicycle. Do something new, make new friends. It will help you forget and it will make you stronger. Hanging out at a club will just put you back in the same place and you'll fall for another player.
