Love is beautiful and liberating. But constantly clinging to the other person and making him or her your entire life, is suffocating. Lovers need time apart and time to enjoy other activities which make them happy and does not hurt anyone else in the process.
Some people need to space to breathe no matter how they feel. For myself, whenever I've felt suffocated it was because my feelings didn't match his. Otherwise they are consistently welcome in my space.
