Why can’t you just move on? He cheated on you and picked the new girl over you. What’s the point in being his friend

@QueenPeach thank you for the advice. I'm having a date on Sunday with a guy I've been talking to. I'm very excited, he seems really great.
Of course I want to be friends with a guy I really care about and have been there for for 1,5 years. But this guy happens to be an idiot and I'm so sad about that.

Don’t worry you’ll find better friends with time. He’s not worth it too much drama @Throughobstacles

@QueenPeach I have a lot of friends. And all of them have excellent morals. He's just someone I grew to care a lot about

Ask yourself if you are ok with this. If you are the continue on and enjoy! If not, run away. That has always been my mantra.
If you do stay tell him there is no need for lying to you. (What he does with her is up to him). Be open and honest with each other, And that includes you saying how you are feeling.

It sounds to me like he's blown any chance of winning back the respect you once had for him. Sad, I know, but I think your best bet it to chalk it up to experience and move on.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Why be friends with a liar and a cheater? You deserve better.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SweetMae Listen to her!

Because he lied to her about you, she will find it harder to trust him around you.
Let him go.
Let him go.

I know there is a lot of history between you two. But you need to walk away. This isn't healthy for you. It seems you're the only one losing sleep over this. Good luck hun.

Let him leave

SW-User
Just cut him loose and move on. It's not rocket science to understand that he's moved on and doesn't really care about being friends.
Throughobstacles · 26-30, F
@SW-User He called me and told me he would talk to her and fix this. He didn't call to tell me we couldn't be friends, he called me to say we weren't Facebook friends, but it was only something to show her she didn't have to be jealous. He said that he did it hastily and that he would fix it.

@Throughobstacles You're an adult. You guys are acting like children over this.
Throughobstacles · 26-30, F
@SW-User he is acting like a child, I told him that the choices he made were idiotic.
Have you been someone's best friend and only friend for 1,5 years and been there for him through all his struggles and then he's a idiot suddenly. He still wants me in his life, and I want the same.
I should cut out someone for being an idiot, but I'm definitely hoping he will fix it.

Are you ok with a threesome?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Throughobstacles Did you fuck him?
Throughobstacles · 26-30, F
@MrBrownstone yes we were friends with benefits, we would sometimes start to catch feelings, but it was always on and off about that. In the end we were exclusive, but that was because he was an idiot and asked to be exclusive because he didn't want to lose me.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Throughobstacles FWB always has its drawbacks. Find a another guy.
