Should I tell my boyfriend I suspect I have ptsd?

I'm pretty sure I have ptsd, and my symptoms just popped up shortly after I started dating him. I experienced a major trauma 1 year ago, and I thought I was doing alright, otherwise I would have never started dating him. We've been together for just a couple months but are both very committed and attached. However, I have more bad days, and on these days I feel incredibly distant and unlovable. Do you think I should tell my boyfriend what I think the problem is, so he can understand a little better? I go to a doctor in 58 days.

I think you should tell him about the trauma, and that you suspect you may now be suffering from ptsd. You might want to list some symptoms of ptsd you think you may be experiencing, such as mood swings. Ptsd is a very difficult thing to deal with. Women married to soldiers with ptsd find that they isolate themselves and lose interest in things they used to enjoy.
