Sounds like the replacement for you fell on their face and they regretted you left. I returned to a previous employer (aerospace company) only once. They needed a competent computer person and new I could hit the ground running. It was good money but after two years, talks with the union broke down, they left town and two-hundred families were out on their ass. I learned a hard lesson even though I actually fell in love with the work.
Would I do that again. Fuck no. Does a bank need a robbery?
