Should I feel bad for putting my ex on child support

He told me I ruined everything and now he is losing the house because of child suppprt and that he had to drop out of school and all the utilities are off. He said he also has a broken down car and can’t really get around. Since I’ve received child support I was able to get a running car and get to work. My job is a cashier job but if I stay longer I can be a manager. Towards the end of my marriage I had to leave because he was really mean to me and made me cry he threw my hands into the stairs and choked me. I wasn’t perfect but he would play mental games like have sex with me then not talk to me and sleep down stairs for 3 weeks and I would beg him to love me and come back to our room.

You should never feel bad for getting what you and your child deserve. He ruined his life...not you
F everything about the way this guy treated you. Don’t feel bad at all. He’s the father and he’s responsible for making sure his kid is taken care of no matter what.

Child support is set by the ability to pay. If he's losing the house and all it's because he can't manage his money. Children come first, don't let him off the hook!

Depends. If you feel bad then lower the amount.
