Is it offensive to tell your girlfriend that she looks better when she's dressed up and has put on some make up?

GlitterBug · 22-25, F Best Comment
I mean. It would hurt my feelings honestly. It’s inconsiderate. Most girls already know that’s true, it’s not necessary to say it.

[c=#7700B2]that would hurt my feelings if my boyfriend ever told me that.. despite me thinking that myself, but I want him to think I am just as attractive not dressed up and with out make up on. I don't wanna feel like I have to get dressed up and put on make up whenever I am around him[/c]

[c=#7700B2]agreed :)[/c]

@PlumBerries You know I have gotten into the habit of doing just that .... I married way out of my league and I do everything possible to look good for him . He of course says I’m crazy but just accepts how I feel and loves me no matter how I look . Probably a consequence of ptsd and the paranoia that follows 🤷🏻‍♀️

[c=#7700B2]I used to do the exact same thing. like I would never let him see me without makeup on.. but he started staying over like every night, that I just got lazy and couldn't be bothered so much..
You are stunning btw, I cant imagine anyone who is way out of your league[/c]

Offensive? I am not sure.
But he is an immature twat to say something of this nature to a girl, especially one he is supposed to love.

@SW-User There ya go, a man with some brains!
@SW-User Great answer.
I don't know if it's offending but I'd say it's rather blunt without giving her feelings any thoughts.

@SapphicHeart it would hurt me, I don’t need to hear I’m ugly
@SW-User
You're anything but ugly. I love you and you're the most beautiful woman in the world. You need no make up or being dressed up. I love your natural beauty 😍

Y'all are so cute 😭😭🥰
Most gfs wouldn't like how that sounds.
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
some people might find it offensive if it was said to them
Numberz · F
Yes because apparently she looks bad naturally
It’s controlling and manipulative. Most people look better when they’re dressed up but people deserve to be accepted for who they are when they’re not, too.
This goes on the list of dumb things to say
TexChik · F
It might hurt some feelings

If I said that to my partner she'd just say, 'so do you.' There you go don't get upset meet it with a bit of comedy, these are the people it's fun to be with, rather than having to walk on eggshells.
SteelHands · 61-69, M
Probably. Seems there's no end to the number of things on the list that some pretend is somehow offending someone.
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
Yes it is offensive because beauty is much more than skin deep. He should think that you're amazing just the way you are. :)

I guess we got to consider the source. Cuz that is about the dumbest thing a guy could say to his girlfriend.
