The only thing you are doing is reinforcing bad behavior. You need to replace how you think - with productive thoughts - so you can develop and grow from past mistakes. It's OK to be self critical, if you learn from it -- NOT if you continue a spiral of destructive thoughts and actions.
If you feel the need to release endorphins, with physical activity, do something productive - run, clean, mow the lawn, go to the gym etc.

Stop focusing on one talent and look at the whole person - you or anyone else. Of the more than 7 billion people on Earth, you are far more talented and capable than the majority of them and they would look up to you and see you as a success. There are things you can do better than anybody. You are ahead of the curve. Get professional counseling for you faulty thinking.
