Is it weird that my girlfriend prefers the term "hot" over "beautiful"?

I once told her she's hot, and now she prefers that over me calling her beautiful, so now I constantly tell her that.

I always used to get 'cute' and it annoyed me. Like it made me feel childish or like I was not seen as a women. I think because I am blonde and 'nice'.
